Yes!
All wardCox™ products are fully interchangeable and compatible
with each another. This allows clubs using wardCox™ equipment
to use different models in different boats even if wired for
different wardCox ™ Models. The secret is in the design and
the use of high quality external IP67 rated multi-pin connectors. For
example boat wired for a wardCoxSpeed
can be used in a boat wired for a wardCoxRate™,
only offering the rate and voice options, as the other options
are not catered for in the specific wiring harness used. Please
refer to the specifications of the different wardCox™ products.

After-sales
satisfaction is of primary importance to us. Depending on where
you are in the world will depend whether we have a local agent
whom you can deal with. Alternatively, you can e-mail us directly
with your queries and questions and we will assist you quickly
and efficiently. Repairs are currently done in South Africa.
Service centers are planned in some mayor areas of the world
depending on sales volumes. We have an attractive "swap
out" option for International users which can be designed
to suit specific needs.

The
wardCoxSpeed
stores Stroke Rate, Stroke Count, Elapsed Time and Boat
Speed into memory to be viewed later. This data can also
be downloaded to a Personal Computer. The significance of this
is that a race can actually be plotted afterwards using a spreadsheet
program. This allows coaches, coxswains and crew to view, reflect
and plan future races.

Races
generally consist of a few minutes, and if a reading is taken
every second, hundreds of readings are possible in a race. Plotting
these Stroke Rate, Elapsed Time and Boat Speed readings
gives a clear visual picture of the race progress at every second.
Coaches
can use this information to determine and plan strategies and
many other aspects of rowing. Simply scanning through memory
viewing numbers does not have the same effect as does a visual
effect.

No,
not specialized training. Our experience has shown that some
training is required, mainly between the coach and coxswain.
wardCox™ menus have been designed intuitively, i.e. easy to
follow in a logical way, thus reducing training. It takes only
a few minutes to learn to use a wardCox™ for the first time,
and afterwards it is really up to the coxswain to use the features
of this system.
